Talk Time Class

Kenmore Library

Thursdays, 10am-12pm

Description: Practice speaking with other English language learners. Learn about American culture and meet people from around the world.


Washington Talking Book & Braille Library Information & Demonstration Session

Kenmore Library

Description: The Washington Talking Book & Braille Library is free for Washington state residents of all ages who are unable to read standard print due to one or more of the following conditions:

  • Legal blindness

  • Visual impairment

  • Physical disability causing an inability to turn pages or comfortably hold a book for extended periods of time

  • Deaf-blindness

  • Reading disability

Drop-in during the session to learn about what services can be delivered to your home, including a free audio device, recorded books and magazines, and books and magazines in Braille. An audio device and recorded book will be available to try. Library staff will also be available to help with the application process.

Medicare Made Clear

Kenmore Library

Thursday, August 10, 2-3pm

Description: Learn more about your Medicare options and get your Medicare questions answered. This informative overview covers Medicare parts A, B, C and D.

Cookbook Book Group

Kenmore Library

Wednesday, August 16, 6:30-7:30pm

Description: “Edible Seattle: The Cookbook” edited by Jill Lightner. Try making a recipe of your choice from the same cookbook! Send a photo of your finished dish to the librarian host along with brief comments about your experience.

We cannot share food at these meetings, but we will watch a slide show of our cooking adventures and share successes and failures!

New members always welcome.
