As part of Kenmore’s housing strategy, the City continues to plan for a range of densities and housing types for all needs and incomes by preserving, improving, and expanding housing stock.

In an effort to promote more diversified and attainable housing options, the Kenmore City Council recently approved a resolution to waive building, plumbing, and mechanical permit fees for the construction of new Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs). The new fee resolution went into effect July 1, 2023. For questions, contact Development Services at 425-398-8900 or permittech@kenmorewa.gov.
