Club members were joined by friends and the children of Bev Pearson to celebrate her 90th birthday at the Oct. 9 potluck. Bev has been a Kenmore resident for 60 years and a member of Inglewood Country Club for 50 years, but she doesn’t golf, she is a life-long bridge-player, who continues to play regularly.
Bev and her husband, who passed away 20 years ago, had three children. When their eldest was 15, her husband got a job teaching overseas and the family spent a year in Germany, during which they traveled extensively throughout Europe, but after a year of living out of a suitcase with three kids and a dog she was done and they returned to their home in Kenmore, where they have been active in the community ever since.
In addition to the KCC and Inglewood CC Bev also volunteers for HopeLink and has long supported the agency by passing the HopeLink jar at every KCC potluck, raising anywhere from $30 to $100 a month for the organization.
