The Kenmore Community Club serves to connect the people of Kenmore by promoting participation in community events, supporting local businesses and non-profits and connecting people through its newsletter, community calendar and providing a gathering place for parties, weddings, church and youth groups and so much more.
Serving on the board of directors is a great way to meet neighbors and get involved in the Kenmore community. Board members manage the hall rental program, community events and the maintenance and improvements to the hall. All members in good standing are eligible to run for a board position and encouraged to contribute their own skills and expertise to club operations.
Michael O'Leary, who has served as club secretary and the newsletter editor and webmaster for the club since 2017, and for the past year as president has decided to step down and run for a one year Trustee-at-large position. Omur Muhittinoglu has decided to step back from the board after seven years serving the board as secretary and vice president, and after five years, Bharati Khandekar has also decided to step back from the board.
In all, there are 6 board positions open for election this year:
President (1 year term)
Vice President (1 year term)
Secretary (1 year term)
Treasurer (1 year term)
Trustee at-large (1 year term)
2 Regular Trustees (2 year term)
Thus far nominations include: Nick Freeman for President, Fernell Miller for Vice President, David Evans, treasurer, Will French, secretary, Michael O'Leary, Trustee at-large. At least two nominations for the Regular Trustee (2 year term) are open.
