Ever wonder how your city keeps roads safe, smooth, and functional? How do they deploy sanders and plows to clear streets in a snowstorm?

There are over 110 miles of streets and roads in Kenmore's public street system. The Public Works Department is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the street system including pavement management, street sweeping, shoulder maintenance, snow & ice removal, and bridge maintenance.

Learn how potholes are fixed, streets are swept, and winter roads are kept clear. Discover the innovative technologies, planning strategies, and hard work that go into maintaining our city's roads and streets.
