From holiday crafts to wilderness survival Kenmore Library has it all

Fun, interesting and entertaining programs for Adults and All Ages are happening at the Kenmore Library in December.

Description: Looking for gifts for the holiday season? Join an afternoon of winter crafting! Crochet, card-making, beaded candy canes and snowflakes. Created and presented by the Kenmore Library Teen Advisory Board.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Kenmore Library.

All ages welcome, 9 and younger with adult.

Description: Learn about the keys to effective shelter-building, water purification, fire-making, wild edibles foraging and other skills that can keep you alive in an emergency and enhance your outdoor experiences.

Presented by Jason Knight, Co-Founder & Director at Alderleaf Wilderness College in Monroe and author of “The Essential Skills of Wilderness Survival.” Books will be available for purchase.

Description: Practice speaking with other English language learners. Learn about American culture and meet people from around the world.

Wednesday, December 20, 6:30-7:30pm

Description: “The Italian Vegetable Cookbook” by Michele Scicolone. Try making a recipe of your choice from the same cookbook! Send a photo of your finished dish to the librarian host along with brief comments about your experience.

We cannot share food at these meetings, but we will watch a slide show of our cooking adventures and share successes and failures!

New members always welcome.
