Funds will help overcome losses due to Covid-19 closure
The City of Kenmore awarded the Kenmore Community Club a $6,000 ARPA grant as part of the city's effort to help small Kenmore businesses and non-profits that were financially impacted by closures due to Covid-19.
The Kenmore Community Club is one such non-profit that provides a meeting hall for nearby residents for a range of activities from weddings to milestone birthdays and religious services. From late 2020 through all of 2021, the hall was closed to rentals due to Covid-19 restrictions. The ARPA grant will help the club recover from those losses.
Many thanks to City Management Analyst Janet Quinn and Assistant to the City Manager – ARPA Garrett Oppenheim for their help navigating the application process.
