The Northshore Senior Center is reopening in phases as health department guidelines allow. The center will start with some classes and activities at the Bothell branch slowly add more as the situation allows.
The Kenmore branch, located in Rhododendron Park, will open for classes once the NSC sees how Bothell is managing and what the current public health data shows. The Kenmore location is still officially “closed to in-person programming” due to the pandemic.
In anticipation of reopening, however, the Kenmore center is looking for people interested in being instructors for a classes in art, crafts, academic topics, fitness, etc. Please contact Pasha at PashaM@mynorthshore.org.
When the Kenmore center does reopen, you'll notice some renovation going on. The center is painting the interior of the Annex building, installing new flooring and adding extra storage for our upcoming community food pantry.
Many thanks to the generosity and expertise of the center's incredible volunteer, Mr. Mark Davey who went above and beyond, providing his skill, tools and energy to beautify this space.
The hope is for an opening day of the food pantry sometime in June. Keep an eye on the City of Kenmore website as well as the Northshore Senior Center website.
The City of Kenmore has given permission to allow for formal reservations of the picnic shelter in beautiful Rhododendron Park. The Kenmore Senior Center manages all the rental details.
