Medicare made clear at Kenmore Library


Learn more about your Medicare options and get your Medicare questions answered

This informative overview covers Medicare parts A, B, C and D.

The following are programs for Adults and All Ages happening at the Kenmore Library in October.


Thursdays, 10am-12pm.

Description: Practice speaking with other English language learners. Learn about American culture and meet people from around the world.


Friday, October 11, 2-4pm

Description: Come to the library to create casual art in a relaxed and friendly environment. We will have basic arts supplies, tea and snacks and quiet music. You can also bring your own project to work on!

In October, experiment with using recycled paper to make a collage. Paper will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own special papers or other materials for your collage.

Drop in at any time.


Friday, October 25, 2-3:30pm

Description: Deacon King Kong by James McBride. New members always welcome.

Wednesday, October 16, 6:30-7:30pm

Description: In October, we visit the Southwestern United States! Due to limited availability of each title, we have two titles to choose from. You may use one or both titles. Please only check out one at a time.

Seed to Plate, Soil to Sky: Modern Plant-based Recipes Using Native American Ingredients by Lois Ellen Frank.

Taste of Tucson: Sonoran-style Recipes Inspired by the Rich Culture of Southern Arizona by Jacki Alpers.


Try making one or more recipes of your choice from this month’s cookbooks! Send a photo of your finished dish to the librarian host along with brief comments about your experience. We cannot share food at these meetings, but we will watch a slide show of our cooking adventures and share successes and failures!
