City of Kenmore officials celebrated the completion of the 68th Avenue Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Improvements Project with a small ribbon cutting ceremony. The project, which is one of five voter-approved Walkways and Waterways projects, provides:

  • 1.5 miles of new sidewalk

  • 3 miles of new bike lanes (1.5 miles, each direction)

  • 1 new crosswalk with flashing pedestrian beacon

  • 2 new school zone flashers and 45 new LED street lights

  • 4 new speed feedback signs

  • Over 6,000 feet of new storm pipe and 82 new catch basins

We'd like to thank our community members for their patience during the construction of this project over the last two years. Now it is time to enjoy all we have gained.
