September programs at the Kenmore Library


The following are programs for Adults and All Ages happening at the Kenmore Library in September. I have also attached PDFs of flyers for some of the special events. All events are free and open to the public.

Some events require registration. Walk-ins welcome as space allows.

Friday, September 15, 2-3pm

Description: Learn about the Polynesian art of visual storytelling through dance. Discover basic steps to develop hula vocabularies. You will be able to tell your story using this beautiful dance form. Class facilitated by Rachel Rene.

SUPPLIES NEEDED: Comfortable clothes for ease of movement, bare feet or socks, towel and water.

Please register. Limit 20.

Thursdays, 10am-12pm

Description: Practice speaking with other English language learners. Learn about American culture and meet people from around the world.


Wednesday, September 20, 6:30-7:30pm

Description: “The Just Bento Cookbook 2: Make-Ahead, Easy, Healthy Lunches To Go” by Makiko Itoh. Try making a recipe of your choice from the same cookbook! Send a photo of your finished dish to the librarian host along with brief comments about your experience.

We cannot share food at these meetings, but we will watch a slide show of our cooking adventures and share successes and failures!

New members always welcome.
