The website, kenmoreconstruction.com, has project information, maps, construction alerts, and frequently asked questions (FAQs).
What to expect within project limits:
More intermittent southbound single lane closures Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to accommodate construction.
Please drive safely and be aware of bikes sharing the roadway, as well as construction crews nearby.
Pedestrian traffic will be shifted exclusively to the sidewalk on the east bridge.
The southbound King County Metro bus stop on the north side of the bridge will be temporarily relocated during construction and will be moved back to its current location once the project is complete. For more information about bus service, visit King County Metro’s website.
Trees on the west side of the bridge have been removed to prepare for the arrival of a crawler crane. Erosion control measures are being installed per permit requirements.
Dirt and dust may be present as clearing and grubbing of trees and bushes continues.
Upon the project’s completion, established trees will be replanted.
Construction crews will bring in large equipment and materials to the work zone near the bridge.
